Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson is facing 30 felony charges for a 2025 jailbreak, in which 10 prisoners fled. The Louisiana attorney general says her poor leadership contributed to the escape. Thirteen others are also charged, including the chief financial officer of the sheriff’s department.
