🇦🇿🇦🇲#Armenian Prime Minister Nikol #Pashinyan’s aircraft flew through Azerbaijani airspace during a recent foreign visit, his press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan said on September 6.
Responding to media inquiries, Baghdasaryan noted that the prime minister’s #plane departed A#rmenia on August 30 and returned on the night of September 6 via Azerbaijani airspace. She added that Armenian authorities had formally requested permission from #Baku and received a positive response, #Caliber.Az reports via her post on Facebook.
“Following the establishment of #peace in Washington on August 8, 2018, the relevant Armenian authorities requested air passage from #Azerbaijan for the Armenian Prime Minister’s plane and received a positive response. We view this #fact as a practical step towards unblocking communications in the region, advancing the peace agenda, and creating an atmosphere of mutual trust. Let me remind you that #Azerbaijani aircraft have been providing communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through the airspace of the Republic of Armenia for a long time,” Baghdasaryan wrote on Facebook.
