Republicans are targeting late-arriving mail ballots ahead of the 2024 election

The Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign have filed a federal lawsuit seeking to prevent Nevada from counting mail ballots received after Election Day, as state law permits.

Many states, like crucial Nevada, allow mail ballots that are postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted — even if they arrive after Election Day. Republicans say this violates federal law.
